There is a God afterall
this sounds strange, but the idea of being sent-off in the glorious burst and bang of a firework, appeals to me. I can see whomever would attend gathering outside, and just enjoying the show as I reacquaint myself with my stardust roots when the embers fade and cool.

Bombs over Baghdad
$137 billion in new tax breaks for corporate America. I bet you didn't hear about this when it, you know, actually happened, so as to even give a semblance that public opinion mattered to public policy.

"...detrimental to the international order and the rule of law..." what could this quote be referring to? I have no idea whatsoever. But whatever it is, it must've been pretty bad.

Rights trump social utility; they trump the will of tyrants and kings; they are more important than money. Rights are individual zones of entitlement, they are not based on the will of majoritites; rather, they result from a recognition of the unique worth of persons

ok, I fell in love with this band, and this album, and in particular this song back in Kingston, ON. I've drunkenly participated in many acoustic sing-(read: scream)-alongs to 'tightrope', among others. Alas, their rocket ride to superstardom was their undoing in 1996, although several band members have remained on the radar. Squire, had his own problems, but has several post-roses attempts at 'music'. Brown, has been busy as well, though I must admit I haven't noticed much, until now. I gotta check out this new offering, 'solarized', and his collaboration with U.N.K.L.E. - anything shadow is worth a few listens.

A Canadian is walking down the street with a case of beer under his arm. His friend Doug stops him and asks, "Hey Bob! Whacha get the case of beer for?"
"I got it for my wife, eh." answers Bob.
"Oh!" exclaims Doug, "Good trade."
