It was the day after 9/11 and we were two weeks into a three month tour. We were so close to home, we could've (maybe should've?) turned back, but we pushed through. I remember most people were really glad to see us and we were happy to provide a little escape from CNN. This song was one of the older ones on "Know By Heart," but still ... the album was only a week old when this was recorded, and somehow it still sounds young to me.-AK"
