I emulated Hakan Loob's stick-taping style when I taped my own stick for the first time: 4 or 5 wraps just short of the toe of the blade, a bit wider than the diameter of a puck. He was one of my favorite Calgary Flames, probably because of his unique name and his scoring totals. Along with Joe Mullen, Al MacInnis, Gary Suter, Joe Nieuwendyk, Gary Roberts, Joel Otto, Mike Vernon, Lanny MacDonald, Jim Peplinkski, Tim Hunter....Even Jon Tonelli.

Its nice to see the SEL give the season's top goal scorer an award named the Hakan LOOB trophy.
