Just awful.

The more I listened the more familiar the twists, the more disturbing the reality, the more embarassed at my own incredulity.

Sign the petition. Your conscience demands it. And make this a campaign issue. It will trump whatever bullshit divise issue gets cooked up.

wicked cool

It's been a while, so you know what brought me back here has to be good. This guy, realtablist, builds up quite the production all in real time with the assistance of Abel Live 5.2. The video below is set 2. Impressive.

This is set 1. Go check out the promo videos 1, 2 & 3.

Next time you're in Antwerpen, Belgium, try and stop in for a show.

youtube superstar

I don't have as much surfing time as I did even a year ago, but I just stumbled (thank you Johnny Nash "I can see clearly now") onto a youtube channel (who knew?) that is killer. Vinyljunkie1960 is posting stuff so far up my alley I think it might be in my backyard.

ouch, bad metaphor.

Amon 'The Chameleon' Tobin

This guy is so hard to pin down, I had to start previewing albums before I would buy them despite the fact I think he is a genius.

Well, he's got a new album, 'Foley Room', about to drop, and guess what? He is such a genius he knew that he is so all over the place that he should help with the previewing part of his musical experience. Of course, the flash site is top-notch, so go enjoy.

New Kicks

A while back I used to enjoy the trancy laid back grooves with the haunting female vocals of the Sneaker Pimps. Well, I just found a new pair of shoes I like : ROYKSOPP. Funny thing is, their music has been just under the surface of my life experience for a few years now. "Poor Leno" was featured on EA Sports snowboarding game SSX. It provided a focused but chilled soundtrack for carving ridiculous lines on a virtual mountain.

More recently, I've been caught singing "Remind Me", the track featured in the GEICO caveman spot set on an airport moving sidewalk. This particular song doesn't feature a female vocalist, but bare with me.

'What Else Is There' is what made the Sneaker Pimps connection for me. Check it out on Seeqpod.com/music - the best of the web, imnsho.

I'm still learning about this band, but finding the GEICO track has made this sunny Saturday morning complete.

And if you like a little classic MJ with your 21st century down tempo click here.

Fly Fishing Kayak

...that transforms from slender craft to stable platform. This is one of those "why didn't I think of that" products that make so much sense it's hard to understand why it took so long to be made.

Foreign Exchange

No, not that Foreign Exchange. I'm on an intellectual avenue today.

Saturday morning, I caught the broadcast of Foreign Exchange with Fareed Zakaria. The website is hosts past shows, so go check it out.

I have to admit I was not familiar with Fareed, but he was recently a guest on The Daily Show and shared a disturbingly frank opinion of Bush that unfortunately shouldn't be all that surprising given his "legacy" as president. Go watch parts 1 & 2 now.
