I didn't think it possible to squander so many prospects on so few, if any, substantial returns. Performance-wise, not so much. 103 points in 03-04, second to a 104 point Bruin team. The year before 97 points, good enough for second in the Northeast only to the President's Trophy winning Ottawa Senators. Not to mention the play-off runs, total Senator domination, and residing in the toughest division in the NHL.
